Absolutely yes! It’s our mission here at Trail Dogs to make every dog a Trail Dog! adventuring in nature is fantastic exercise for dogs and so much better for them than pavement walking or quick visits to dog parks.  Walking in nature not only provides your dog with much-needed physical exercise (they’re going to get super fit) but they also give your dog’s nose and brains a full workout too!

Walking in nature is a fantastic way for your dog to exercise and get fit!

But don’t just take our word for it! Trail Dogs has teamed up with Newstead vets who are offering all new Trail Dog clients a pre-walk health check-up completely FREE of charge!!!

At the pre-walk health check-up the fantastic team at Newstead Vets will be able to assess your dog’s physical health and answer any questions or concerns you may have about your dog becoming a regular Trail Dog’s pack member.

Little dogs, big dogs, fat dogs, sausage dogs and even brachy dogs – It’s our mission to make every dog a Trail Dog! Typically we offer 3 different adventure speeds

  1.  Sniff ‘n’ stroll – a gentle walk most suited to younger, older, overweight, flat faced breeds or recovering after surgery dogs
  2. Wiggle ‘n’ Waggle – A quicker paced walk for those pups on a mission to cover more of the trail
  3. Zoomies– well suited to those dog with bounds of energy of any size

Based on your dog’s details & our ‘Get To Know’ process at the initial meet & greet we will establish if Trail dogs and your dog are a good fit. We will then group your dog into a pack most suitable to their needs.

A typical outing is 2-3 hours of fun & companionship from the time your dog is picked up to the time your dog is returned safely home. Once your dog’s paws hit the trail, we hike for approximately 1 hour.

The walk group maximum is 4 dogs per pro walker.  At Trail Dogs we strive to establish a compatible small group of dogs who are of similar speed, temperament and size whenever possible.  Each Trail Dog bus can accommodate up to 8 dogs comfortably in their very own safe, secure and climate controlled custom built ‘Zen Den’.

Nope! At Trail Dogs we’re all about convenience and making your life as easy as possible! During our get to know you meeting we will find out all your dog’s pick-up and drop-off information and work with you to find a suitable access solution.

Absolutely not! In fact trail dog dogs are mostly apartment dwelling clients. We live in an apartment too so we understand the challenges! the following access options are our suggestions;

  1. You give us a set of keys and lift pass (if required) to your apartment (our preferred option and what most of our apartment dwelling clients do)
  2. If you live in a street level access apartment an external Lockbox provides an excellent alternative key security solution https://youtu.be/pqyo46X_RE0
  1. If you have a street accessible Post-box, you may prefer to leave your keys inside and we’ll put them back at the end of our hiking session if you need us too.

Brisbane Trail Dog owners are Newstead locals. We know and recognise many of the local pups in our area and the immediate surrounding suburbs.   Our focus is therefore to serve owners and their dogs mostly from the suburbs of New Farm, Teneriffe, Fortitude Valley, Bowen Hills, Albion and Hamilton.  By keeping our service area small we get to the hiking trails much quicker meaning your fur-baby gets to spent more time out in nature.

Some Brisbane suburbs are on-route to our hiking destination.  In these instances your pup can likely be accommodated.  If you live outside the suburbs mentioned above please feel free to enquire!

Brisbane Trail dogs and our dog loving walkers are 100% committed to ensuring your dog’s safety. We are so seriously committed to your dog’s safety we have gone to extreme lengths to minimise and mitigate any potential safety concerns by conducting our own fully independent risk analysis in conjunction with our partner vets.  All of our dog walkers are vetted and first aid certified. You can be confident that when your dog walks with us that they are in the absolute safest of hands.

Your dog’s safety is extremely important to us!  For this reason Trail Dogs takes a planned 6-8 week break from hiking during the hottest period of the year, usually from Mid-December through to the end of January.  After all, much like humans, dogs need a break from all their hard work and exercise too!

Trail Dogs offers limited exclusive half day adventures* as an alternative option during our planned 6 week break.  For more details about this exclusive programme please refer to our ‘Summer Adventure Schedule’ announced online and via our social media accounts at the beginning of October.

*T&C Apply (As per announced Summer Adventure Programme & Associated fees)

Once your dog is enrolled  in our weekly adventure outings, we will establish a recurring day (s) of the week based on yours and your dog’s needs and our neighbourhood service schedule.

It’s then super convenient & easy to book additional walks via the online client booking portal or ‘Time to Pet’ app! Don’t worry we’ll get this all set up for you!

Alternatively, if technology isn’t your thing, feel free to give us a call and we’ll do our best to accommodate.

With a focus on being environmentally friendly Trail Dogs really don’t like forms or endless amounts of unnecessary paperwork. We try to keep our enrolment process really simple.

The first step is for us visit you at your home or other place of convenience and get all the doggie gossip. Once agreed that your fur baby is a Trail Dog doggie we’ll create a custom schedule. We are then ready to hit the trails.

We have a simple automated process that makes receiving your invoice super easy. Don’t worry, we’ll get this all set up for you. Invoices are issued fortnightly each month and are payable in advance of scheduled services.

Payment can be made directly to our nominated bank account. If you don’t have access to a computer we can always drop off a printed copy of the invoice for your convenience.

As a Trail Dogs client, you are not locked into a contract.  We’re really confident that you are going to love our convenient door-to-door regularly scheduled walking service and that your dog is going to love the companionship, exercise and outdoor fun on offer! In the unlikely event that you do need to cancel all we ask is that you give us as much notice as possible.

Trail Dogs is a dog walking company that likes to give back! We’re on a mission to Save The Trails and Save The Tails! Every dog walk you purchase for your dog you’ll be helping to feed shelter dogs and preserve nature trails through the donations we’ll make to a number of Dog Rescue Groups and Queensland Parklands and conservation trusts.
